Rangkaian kegiatan konferensi internasional yang diadakan oleh Universitas Ahmad Dahlan melalui Fakultas Sastra, Budaya, dan Komunikasi (FSBK) pada 27-28 Oktober 2022, ditutup dengan seminar publikasi jurnal internasional. Acara ini bertempat di ruang seminar Islamic Center UAD.
Dalam seminar ini, panitia acara menghadirkan Zalik Nuryana, doktoral di Nanjing Normal University, Tiongkok, sebagai pembicara. Dosen di program studi Pendidikan Agama Islam UAD ini menjelaskan sekaligus memberikan petunjuk praktis agar jurnal yang dipublikasikan dapat menembus hingga di level internasional.
Dalam kesempatan kali ini Zalik juga menegaskan bahwa menulis merupakan cerminan kualitas setiap akademisi. Bahkan secara teologis, menulis merupakan ajaran Islam yang mesti terus dirawat dan diistikamahkan. Ujung pena adalah media dakwah intelektual yang paling berpengaruh, tegasnya.
Sebelumnya, dalam rangkaian kegiatan selama dua hari ini para pembicara lainnya menegaskan tentang pentingnya literasi dalam keilmuan sastra dan pendekatan budaya. Melalui pendekatan sastra dan budaya, masyarakat dapat menjalin dan mengokohkan relasi dan komunikasi publik secara lebih kultural.
Melalui dua hal tersebut, ilmu sastra dan pendekatan budaya, peluang untuk menciptakan situasi nasional dan internasional yang kondusif kian terbuka luas dan dinamis. Pendekatan sastra dan budaya meniscayakan relasi untuk saling memahami, toleran, dan lapang dada demi terwujudnya perdamaian antar bangsa.
Informasi yang disampaikan dalam komunikasi publik pun mesti disaring dengan baik sekaligus melihat pada aspek multikulturalisme antar masyarakat. Hingga kini sudah terlalu banyak informasi hoax, fake news, dan yang sejenisnya bertebaran di media sosial serta dibuat dan disebarkan oleh mereka yang tak bertanggung jawab.
Saat ini masyarakat hidup di global village. Manusia di seluruh penjuru dunia saling terhubung satu sama lain. Maka pola komunikasi dengan mentalitas global society harus dikembangkan dan dijaga dengan baik. Jika tidak, sangat berpotensi memunculkan geger global.
Masyarakat global village harus bisa memberikan solusi pada masalah global. Hal ini secara niscaya memerlukan pola komunikasi publik yang baik. Pola komunikasi publik yang baik dan saling memahami, di antaranya dapat ditempuh melalui bekal ilmu sastra dan pendekatan budaya
Tanpa modal ilmu sastra dan pendekatan budaya, pola komunikasi akan terasa kaku dan kering nilai. Alih-alih menciptakan situasi global yang damai dan sehat, pola komunikasi yang buruk justru akan menambah masalah global. (Erik)
