Pembotakan Siswi Mencoreng Dunia Pendidikan

Kasus pembotakan 19 siswi SMP Negeri 1 Sidodadi Lamongan, Jawa Timur hanya karena berjilbab tanpa daleman kerudung, membuat dunia pendidikan tercoreng. Di sekolah negeri, jilbab seharusnya tidak diwajibkan. Untuk siswi yang berjilbab pun tidak ada keharusan caranya bagaimana dan modelnya harus seperti apa.
Oleh karena itu, hukuman terhadap 19 siswi itu merupakan pelanggaran yang serius. Pelakunya harus diberi sanksi agar tidak melakukan perbuatan yang sama, dan agar menjadi pelajaran penting bagi guru-guru yang lain.
Peristiwa ini harus menjadi perhatian serius bagi semua pihak, terutama para stakeholder pendidikan, terlebih Mas Menteri Nadiem Makarim yang getol mengampanyekan “Merdeka Belajar”.
Pemberian sanksi terhadap siswa yang tidak layak mendapatkan sanksi, apalagi sanksi yang diberikan secara semena-mena, sangat bertolak belakang dengan prinsip-prrinsip merdeka belajar yang antara lain menekankan pada penciptaan suasana belajar yang bermakna dan menyenangkan dengan melibatkan orang tua dan komunitas sebagai mitra.
Agar peristiwa serupa tidak terjadi lagi, perlu upaya yang serius untuk meningkatkan kapasitas guru dalam mengimplementasikan prinsip-prinsip merdeka belajar. Selain itu, pengawasan terhadap pelaksanaan merdeka belajar perlu diintensifkan agar setiap proses belajar-mengajar di dunia pendidikan bisa dijalankan secara proporsional dan profesional
Lembaga pendidikan adalah investasi masa depan suatu bangsa. Di lembaga pendidikan, kader-kader bangsa dididik dengan baik agar kelak bisa menjunjung tinggi martabat bangsa dan negaranya.
